Language The Meeting language will be English. There will be no simultaneous translation facilities. Dutch is the predominant language in the Netherlands but English is spoken by almost everyone.

Travel to Groningen Groningen is situated in the Top (North-East) of the Netherlands. The city is easily accessible from all parts of Europe.
The Main Airport in the Netherlands is: Schiphol Amsterdam Airport, located in Amsterdam. Distance from Schiphol to Groningen is about 200 km.
The Local Airport in Groningen is: Groningen Airport Eelde. The airport is a fully equipped international airport, situated within a stone's throw (10 km) of the city of Groningen. There are every day flights to the international hub Copenhagen (Denmark), with the possibility of quickly and easily transferring to a flight operated by SAS or one of the other Star Alliance Airlines. This airlift directly connects the Northern Netherlands to many airports all over the world.
By train The best way to travel from Airport Schiphol Amsterdam to Groningen is by train. The NS-train station is located at Schiphol Airport. Travel time: 2 hours. Please note to board the compartments which indicate Groningen, verify when boarding. The Central Railway Station in Groningen is on walking distance (20’) from the UMCG. Arriving at the Central Station in Groningen, several busses or taxis will take you to the city center. Shopping Most shops and department stores are open from 10.00 to 18.00 Monday to Friday. Saturday from 09.00 to 17.00 hours. Some shops are open on Sunday.
